A small 2D platformer game made during the Coding Blocks '23 game jam, following the theme "Everything is Backwards".

A small robot wakes up and decides to go against the orders it receives to become free. Don't follow your instructions.

[CodingBlocks Note : The browser version has been updated on the 24/01 at 14:00 to clarify the controls  to allow players to understand how to play. No technical content, mechanics or level element was added. The Unity build still remains untouched and downloadable at the same state as at the end of the Game Jam.]

===========

[Controls]

E to interact

S to roll into a ball

W/Z or Space to jump

AD/QD to go left/right

============

Every asset in this game (with the exception of the text font and sound effects) was made during the duration of the event,  specifically for this game.

This was a solo project! So, the amount of content I was able to produce was limited, however I would like to add some more elements (mostly visual improvements) in the future, so stay tuned for updates hopefully!

Any feedback is welcome!

can't go to the right, I'm sad

Don't follow the instructions! They're telling you quite the opposite of what you should do...

Try looking around a bit more if you're stuck on that part!

The thing is, I already beat it. That's why I wanna go to the right

This was done solo? Very nicely done for such a short time frame!

Some interesting puzzles and level design, and quite a bit of content too for the timeframe! I have to say though, the one with changing conveyors was a little unclear. Great animation on the little robot!

My main complaint was that there were quite a few areas where I would get stuck on collision geometry. That, and it would have been nicer to move a bit faster sometimes (rolling didn't have as much momentum as I would have expected when I controlled it).

I really like the ending as well! Nice job!

Thank you very much! Yes, I worked solo on this project! And thank you a lot for the feedback, I'll do my best to fix these, I also had a hard time with collisions and rolling, but didn't have enough time to adress it. Thanks again!

can't go through moving transporter belt :(

Hey! Thank you for trying my game! I suppose you're talking about the transporter belts at the start of the game. I'll try and make it clearer in following updates, but the instructions given by text are intentionally misleading. There are other paths !

Thats nice idea but I can't go left either. Maybe Im too stupid for this game :(

I will do a quick update ASAP to the web version to add indications. In the meantime, check the controls by pressing Escape and selecting "Settings"! it might give you help to interact with buttons for example
