It took only the first three minutes of the game for your point to get across. I like how arbitrarily tedious the control is, the jankiness adds to the whole atmosphere. For the life of me I couldnāt figure out how to get a cat, which robbed me of perhaps the only one joy I could have in this life. Got to the end of the game though, just in time for my own actual dayjob. One must imagine Sisypus happy.
You managed to take a smart gimmick (walking takes money) into a very solid and well structured game. The level design and art is perfect and helps highlight the bleakness of working to live. Great game. As a small coment abut gameplay, maybe I got a bit lost trying to find the thrash cans. Maybe add a bit more so I can miss some?
Hm thatās a good idea, Iāve had a few people say the crosses on the map helped know where not to look anymore but that doesnāt seem to be enough so if I can do it in time Iāll try and add a few to make it less annoying to get them all, thanks for the feedback!
Very cool! The clicker genre is just too good for critique of capitalism. Great execution and atmosphere. If I would have one critique it would be that, as a climate activist, I feel like that the airport being the way to freedom isn't ideal. But on the other hand this is what capitalism keep telling us - work, work work so you can go on vacation and spend all that money and then work, work, work again. The ending suggests that this might be the thought behind it.
Great work in any case. Keep it up and Fxck capitalism!
I hadn't thought of the environment aspect of the airport, thanks for bringing that up! I'll see if I can make the message clearer so that it doesn't send the wrong idea across, or switch it to a train station if i can't figure that out. Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Hey, no worries. And as I said, it's exactly the type of message we are bombarded with every day, so in a way it might be fitting. It's a great little game regardless!
this game is really amazing not only dose it have a strong message the game play loop is very compelling this coupled with a strong story or more to do would make a amazing game. One idea I had is too have a limited amount of time to finish the game like majora's maskor pikmen. or maybe have a system like rent you needed to pay that goes up over time. I mostly bring this up because right now there is not much sense of urgency when collecting money and as a struggle college student it would be very relatable. but for a week long jam this is a amazing game with so much potential. keep going ^_^
Thank you very much for the feedback! I agree, I was struggling to find a way to compel the player to leave the room, maybe a time system or rent would be a very nice way to implement that! Thanks for playing!
Feels like Samsara. Endless suffering and pressing two buttons to get some moe freedom. I loved the concept, art style and all the variaties of items that where in the shops. I couldn't find the cat. Maybe I just wasn't good enough in this, but sitll I got out. DID I?
P.s some lofi soundtrack or sounds would add a lot for the game atmosphere.
Thanks a lot for playing, and for the kind words! The pet store can be found by going up before reaching the airport! Buying the cats give you auto-clicks /second, so its more of a bonus to reach the ending sooner, and to unlock a shortcut, but I'm sure the cats were sad not to be found as well.
Was planning on adding sounds, it would have added a lot ot atmosphere, but as usual I overscoped a bit, and its too big of an update in my taste to add it as a hotfix. Thanks again!
I felt like a real hacker or crypto seller while playing this game. The hardware upgrades were a nice feature. Also progression was great, because in the ending I felt rich. Maybe after jam add some sounds, I`m sure the game will benefit from some audio.

This really voices what so many of us have been feeling in modern times and works on SEVERAL layers. Strong messaging and execution.
Thank you!
Bleak and mind numbing....Just like the real thing! 10/10
Thank you very much!
Oh boy, outlook is bleak! Great concept. I'd say fun, but nothing is fun about late stage capitalism xD

Time to grind, boyz!
But jokes aside interesting point to make. Also love the art style
